A long term career plan…

…is defined by your ability to give small steps consistently.

There’s no magic. It is about planning and hard work. And in order to be able to achieve a long distance run, one of the best ideas I have ever had is to start breaking a career plan into 12 months chunks. One year is usually what you need to build something valuable within your business or organization. Make a plan about what you need to do each quarter to achieve this 12 months target. Once you´ve done it, then set your calendar with important reminders and keep track of your quarterly goals.

At the end of the day, we start being more consciousness of our daily routine when we have a clear defined plan for the year.
