Most of the things we discuss here you already know, there seems to be nothing new. With the internet, people have access to information. But Marketing is not merely having access to information. It is about knowing what to do with them. I combine this with that and… KABUM! Something magic happens.
Before I get straight to the point let me tell you a short story about myself.
When I was a child I dreamed about becoming a taxi driver. Sometimes I dreamed on being a soccer player…or a postman. But the fact is that I never dreamed about being a Marketer. And that is curious because today I feel like I was born to do what I do (to be a Marketer). Sounds weird, isn’t it?
On the one hand we don’t get anywhere unless we have a goal. A goal is important because it makes us move forward. On the other hand, we don’t need to define only one and unchangeable objective because we never know what is going to happen in the future. Things change. WE change.
So, when developing a marketing plan, these are the two things we should always consider:
- We always make plans to get somewhere better than now.
- Things may change along the way, be aware of the changes and keep in mind that marketing is not a simple formula, it is an art (I have spoken about it here)
